Join our Virtual Rehabilitation Team

Virtual Rehabilitation Ward will have a strong focus on innovation and digital strategies, with Telehealth and home-based monitoring integrated into the provision of care. Following goal setting, targeted evidence-based interventions will be provided. The key to the success of the service will be integration with general practice teams.

About the role: 

In keeping with the needs of the community, the Virtual Rehabilitation service operates 7 days a week.

The Enrolled Nurse role involves working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, making decisions and taking initiative to plan and complete nursing care tasks within their scope of practice.

In this role, you will engage with patients/clients to provide person centred care.

Employees at the Enrolled Nurse level will work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, however at all times the Enrolled Nurse retains responsibility for their actions and remains accountable in providing nursing care.

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing assessment, treatment plans and implementation will focus on assisting individual consumers to optimise management of their medical condition and functional impacts as well as establishing sustainable community-based support networks and/or suitable supported accommodation.

About you:

• As Enrolled nurse, must be registered or eligible for registration as an enrolled nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• In order to administer medicines, must have completed a Board-approved program of study which includes an administration of medicines unit.
  
  
• As Clinical Nurse - Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
• Experience in the management of complex wounds including vac dressings

To be Successful in this role: 

• Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision.
• All team members will be required to be FIM credentialled and responsible for participating in benchmarking via the Australasian Rehabilitation Outcomes Centre.
