Join Our Team as a Direct Care Worker (Community) – Support Independence and Quality of Life for Older and Disabled Adults!

Are you compassionate and dedicated to helping others live independently in their own homes? We’re seeking a Direct Care Worker (Community) to provide essential hands-on support to aged, frail, or disabled clients who wish to maintain their independence.

About the Role:

As a Direct Care Worker, you will assist clients with daily tasks, working under the guidance of the ANUM Outreach Coordinator. You will collaborate closely with Community Health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring coordinated and person-centred care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
  • Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

  • DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
