About the Role

As a Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in enhancing nursing and midwifery practice by delivering targeted education, training, and professional development across a range of clinical settings. Your clinical expertise and passion for teaching will support nurses and midwives in building their skills and knowledge, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients and clients. Whether you’re working directly with specific wards, units, or community programs, or managing education portfolios, your contribution will be central to fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

You will also take a leadership role in coordinating education projects and programs, driving innovation and evidence-based practice to improve educational outcomes and service delivery. By addressing gaps between policy and practice, you will help create a safe, positive, and supportive work environment that ultimately benefits both staff and patients. About You

You are a passionate and experienced Nurse with a strong commitment to education and staff development. With creativity and leadership skills, you excel at designing and delivering impactful learning programs that support quality care and positive change.

  • Qualifications and Registration
    Registered or eligible for registration as a NurseMidwife with the Nursing Board of Australia, holding (or eligible for) a current practising certificate.

  • Education and Leadership Skills
    Proven ability to develop, coordinate, and deliver educational programs, with strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.

  • Experience in Nursing Education
    At least three years post-registration experience, including demonstrated skills in nursing education and applying educational theory to practice.

  • Professional Knowledge
    Sound understanding of relevant legislation, codes, and quality improvement systems, alongside knowledge of contemporary nursing, midwifery, and healthcare issues.
