Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN) is seeking a Senior Dietitian - Food Services to coordinate and lead best-practice dietetic services across our Residential Aged Care (RAC), Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) facilities and regional acute care sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate and evaluate high-quality food and nutrition services for aged care and acute settings across LCLHN.
  • Provide strategic advice and expert consultation on nutrition care aligned with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Work across SA Health aged care facilities in the Limestone Coast region.
  • Collaborate closely with Speech Pathologists, Clinical Dietitians, Catering Teams, and Nursing staff to ensure safe, person-centred food and nutrition delivery.
  • Champion food service quality improvement initiatives, including recipe development, menu planning, and hydration strategies.
  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to less experienced dietitians and allied health assistants.
  • Support education and training for staff, students, and stakeholders in nutrition-related practices.
  • Represent dietetics in key committees and working groups, including Nutrition and Hydration working parties.
  • Drive change through research, evaluation, and evidence-based practice.

What We Are Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you’ll be a collaborative, forward-thinking clinician who blends strategic insight with compassion and professionalism.

  • A recognised qualification in Dietetics, eligible for practising membership with Dietitians Australia.
  • Extensive experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating food and nutrition services in aged care and acute settings.
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise, and mentor others—especially early-career staff and students.
  • Strong skills in clinical governance, documentation, auditing, and service planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and to advocate for quality food services.
  • Understanding of community engagement principles, with a commitment to person- and family-centred care.
  • Cultural competency and the ability to support inclusive nutrition service delivery.
