Overview:

The SA Health Implementation Science Unit (ISU) sits within the Clinical System Support and Improvement (CSS&I) Division in the Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW) – in the SA Health portfolio. ISU is an agile team of specialists who assist in building SA Health’s implementation capability to enable delivery of agency commitments. ISU also offers implementation consultancy services that adds capacity to SA Health teams for rapid implementation of initiatives of high strategic importance.

The Graduate Implementation Support Officer reports to the Manager, Strategy and Governance and is accountable to the Director, Implementation Science Unit. The requirements for the role include:

  • Providing support to the Implementation Science Unit team members including coordinating and maintaining communication materials, evidence-based tools and timely reporting.
  • Supporting the principles of implementation practice, processes, and controls across SA Health.
  • Maintaining effective and collaborative working relationships with the team and our key stakeholders.
  • Providing confidential executive support and a range of administrative services which results in the achievement of the effective delivery and management of the Unit.
  • Supporting the team to be digital by default and effectively use digital collaboration tools to improve business processes.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC)  for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

To be an eligible candidate for this role, you will have attained a university qualification within the last three years or will attain a qualification before the commencement of employment (July 2025).

On appointment of the position, there is an educational opportunity to undertake a Certificate IV Qualification in a chosen area (e.g. Government, Business Administration, Project Management).
