About the role: 

Reporting to the Occupational Therapy Manager, some of your duties as the Occupational Therapist may involve: 

  • Using increasing professional knowledge and skills to provide assessments, interpret findings, plan and implement intervention plans in collaboration with the patient, carers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Participation in clinical rotations across acute inpatient and outpatient services. 
  • Providing clinical supervision, support and training for AHP1 Occupational Therapy staff and students
  • Contributing to the development of departmental resources and quality improvement activities

About you:

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated competency in the clinical management of a broad range of conditions and in Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment techniques. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to improve personal and professional skills through self-directed learning and evaluation in line with SALHN objectives.
  • 3 years post graduate clinical experience desirable.
