We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part Time Clinical Nurse - Infection Control to join our team at the Flinders Medical Centre, located in the heart of Adelaide's southern suburbs.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Infection Control Nurse Consultant you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of infection prevention and control practices are implemented across the healthcare facility. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection control policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Duties for the role will include:

  • Conducting surveillance for healthcare-associated infections, providing education and training to staff on infection control practices, participating in outbreak investigations
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
  • Participation in root-cause analysis and look-back investigations
  • Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other RN2C, AN/MUM and the Nurse Consultant or equivalent.

About you:

  • Ability to work within a team framework that fosters an environment that develops staff potential.
  • Advanced skills in using computers and software relevant to the area of practice.
  • Proven experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing.
  • Experience in evaluating the results of nursing research and integrating, where relevant, the results into nursing practice.
