The position is responsible for:

  • Recording patient movements, transfers and discharges (planned and completed) in Sunrise EMR & PAS;
  • Adhering to procedures regarding the confidentiality and security of patient medical records whilst held in the ward;
  • Recording inpatient episodes of care for funding purposes by ensuring relevant finance forms are completed.
  • Ensuring the maintenance and supply of clinical and administrative equipment, supplies, and services to the ward by creating online requisitions using Oracle and non-catalogue items,
    • including the receipting of goods
    • following up on outstanding orders
    • actioning and processing invoices received through Basware.
  • Other administrative functions as required
