About the Role 

We are seeking a dedicated Ward Clerk to join the Spinal Injury Ward, providing essential clerical and reception support to ensure smooth ward operations. In this role, you will play a key part in patient care management by assisting with bed coordination, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the multidisciplinary team. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will help create an efficient and welcoming environment for patients, families, and staff.

As a vital member of the team, you will also provide guidance and advice to less experienced administration staff, contributing to a collaborative and supportive workplace. Reporting to the Clinical Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of ward administration while delivering exceptional customer service. About You 

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Ward Clerk with excellent communication and administrative skills to support our Spinal Injury Ward. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills – Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

  • Excellent organisational & problem-solving abilities – Proven capacity to multitask, prioritise workloads, and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Administrative expertise & computer proficiency – Experience using Microsoft Office, databases, and hospital systems like SUNRISE (preferred).

  • Commitment to high-quality service & confidentiality – A patient-focused approach with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
