We’re looking for professionals to join us as we open a new, state-of-the-art Mental Health Rehabilitation Service (MHRS) at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH).

About the Role

Are you a motivated leader with a passion for supporting quality healthcare services through food and hospitality? We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Food Services Supervisor to join our team based at TQEH. In this vital role, you’ll oversee the daily operations of catering and cleaning services, ensuring high standards in food quality, hygiene, and service delivery. You’ll coordinate a dedicated team of Food Services staff, set work priorities, manage staffing allocations, and support efficient meal distribution to inpatients. Working closely with key stakeholders including dietitians, nursing staff, allied health teams, and senior managers, you’ll play a central role in maintaining service excellence. If you're a strong communicator and team leader with solid practical skills and a commitment to high-quality service, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, along with the flexibility to work between 6.00 AM and 9.00 PM across a 7-day roster as required.

  • You have proven experience supervising staff in a catering or hospitality setting, with a focus on team building and positive workplace culture.
  • You demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to prepare clear reports and documents under pressure.
  • You have strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, especially relating to vulnerable population groups.
  • You’re highly organised, confident using Microsoft Office, and able to manage competing tasks with minimal supervision.
