Are you an expert in Infection Control with a passion for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff and clients?

Limestone Coast Local Health Network is seeking a dedicated Nurse Consultant to join our Infection Prevention and Control team at Mt Gambier & Districts Health Service.

As a clinical expert, you’ll play a vital leadership role—driving best-practice care, guiding policy, and supporting staff across the region. With a focus on evidence-based infection control, you’ll help ensure the highest standards of safety for patients, families, and the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead infection control initiatives in line with NSQHS Standard 3 and SA Health policy
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing teams
  • Drive improvements in infection prevention systems and staff capability
  • Contribute to management decisions impacting safety and care delivery
  • Support education, mentoring, and professional development across services

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience
  • Expertise in infection control, NSQHS Standard 3, and SA Health Policy
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to mentor, innovate, and inspire change across teams
