About the role: 

The Division of Geriatric Medicine provides medical services to Flinders Medical Centre, Repat Health Precinct, Noarlunga Hospital and, the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine provides medical services to Flinders Medical Centre and Repat Health Precinct. Both Departments are responsible for the education of medical students and trainee medical officers and for the conduct of research.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Ensuring the maintenance of comprehensive clinical records which document significant patient management decisions,
  • Participating in the development of clinical guidelines and protocols,
  • Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers,
  • Ensure that a safe and healthy work environment, free from discrimination is provided for employees,
  • Continuously reviewing existing practices and promoting change where required.

About you:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General registration (Geriatric Medicine)/ General registration (Rehabilitation Medicine);
  • or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff,
  • Being responsive to the expectations and needs of both clinical and non-clinical colleagues,
  • Proven experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing.
