About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our Respiratory team, based primarily at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. In this dynamic role, you will deliver high-quality physiotherapy services across specialist clinical areas, including respiratory medicine, the state-wide South Australian Lung Transplant Service (SALTS), and the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service (ACFS). You will play a key role in the multidisciplinary teams supporting patients referred to the Thoracic Medicine services within CALHN, utilising your advanced physiotherapy skills to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Alongside managing your clinical caseload, you will provide expert consultancy and advice to both colleagues, management and colleagues in other LHNs, ensuring excellence in physiotherapy practice and service delivery. This role also involves mentoring and supervising staff and students, as well as contributing to research, departmental education programs and statewide and national initiatives. You will be part of a 7-day service, including regular weekend shifts, and may work across multiple CALHN sites, offering variety and professional growth within a supportive and collaborative environment.

About You

You are a passionate and experienced physiotherapist with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred care. You bring advanced clinical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to your role, ready to contribute to a high-performing multidisciplinary team.

  • Hold a recognised physiotherapy qualification and current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia, with substantial recent experience in respiratory or related specialties.

  • Demonstrate advanced clinical skills in patient-centred, evidence-based practice, and exercise sound professional judgement in complex clinical situations.

  • Possess strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, with the ability to effectively supervise staff and students while contributing to service improvement initiatives.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, showing flexibility, reliability, and commitment to a 7-day roster, including weekend and out-of-hours work as required.
