Join our dedicated team as a Nurse Consultant Breast Specialist Nurse and  and make a difference in the lives of breast cancer patients!

As a Nurse Consultant Breast Specialist Nurse, you will play a vital role in coordinating comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals with breast cancer. You’ll provide expert nursing care, guide clinical teams, and ensure best practice delivery across the care continuum. Your leadership and experience will be essential in shaping and improving our Breast Care Program while supporting both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct expert clinical nursing care and lead therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide individual case management and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to clinical decision-making and provide expert advice to teams.
  • Lead change and innovation within the Breast Care Program and across services.
  • Manage resources, quality improvement processes, and risk management.
  • Mentor and guide staff, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate in strategic planning and policy development for improved care delivery.

What we’re looking for:

  • Registered Nurse with 5+ years post-registration experience in surgical or medical oncology, including at least 3 years as a Breast Care Nurse or in a related field.
  • Advanced expertise in cancer nursing and breast cancer management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Ability to drive quality improvement initiatives and service development.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in working with Aboriginal communities is a plus.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
