Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN)

• The Queen Elizabeth Hospital  & Alice Springs Hospital, Upper GI Team

• MDP2 Salary $99,707 - $158,523 p.a. + super + salary packaging 

• Multiple Full-Time, Temporary 12 month Contracts - 6 months at each site

Term of the Contract: 3 years (in line with clause 55 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement).  At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to assist find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3-year contract, if necessary.

About the Role

Join our Upper GI team and help deliver high-quality surgical care across two unique settings. You’ll assess referrals, manage patients, support theatre and drive quality improvement, with 6 months at both The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital.

• Assess inpatient, ED and ward referrals
• Manage emergency surgical patients
• Assist in theatre and patient care
• Work with Consultants, Fellows and trainees
• Drive quality improvement and education

About You

Bring your clinical skills, sound judgement and collaborative approach to a role where you can make a real difference.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Hold an MBBS or equivalent
• Hold General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Bring suitable medical experience
• Work well in multidisciplinary teams
• Apply sound problem solving and quality improvement skills
