WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

Join the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) a Consultant - General Medicine, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. In this dynamic role, you will assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of medical presentations, working closely with Emergency Departments, GPs and community services. You will play a key role in ensuring timely patient reviews, clear clinical decision-making and effective discharge planning, while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the medical ward and participating in an on-call roster.

As a Senior Clinician, you will also deliver clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team environment. The role involves supporting excellent patient outcomes, teaching and mentoring medical students and junior clinicians, and contributing to clinical audit, quality improvement, patient safety, research, and ongoing professional development initiatives.

Please note: this role is unable to support practitioners requiring peer supervision.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

You will……….

  • Deliver high-quality inpatient and ambulatory medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, discharge planning and ongoing patient review within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff, while contributing to teaching and training across undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Actively participate in service development, quality improvement initiatives, governance activities and hospital committees.
