About the Role:

Join the team at Barmera Health Services as an Administration Officer, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and administrative support to patients, residents, visitors, and staff. This diverse role offers the opportunity to work across hospital and aged care services while developing your skills using a range of healthcare and business systems in a supportive and community-focused environment.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while following established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative support, data entry and the use of computer systems and office software.
  • Knowledge of records management, customer databases and quality assurance practices.

Desired Criteria 

  • Previous administrative or medical records experience in a healthcare setting, with a Medical Terminology Certificate highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of healthcare administration, primary and community health principles, and relevant government procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare information systems such as Chiron.
