About the role:  

Following the highly successful uplift of Workforce for the additional 48 Beds at Noarlunga Hospital, SALHN are well-underway with Workforce Planning for the new building at Flinders Medical Centre that will deliver 98 new beds to the Southern Community.  Working closely with the Principal Workforce Strategist, you will help to determine the workforce needed to meet service requirements, and develop strategies to ensure adequate workforce supply. You will contribute to developing career pathways and implementing attraction and retention strategies, particularly focusing on critical skill shortage and strategic priority areas.

  • Support workforce planning that incorporates the collation of high-quality data and information, to deliver effective short and mid-term staffing strategies related to major infrastructure development projects.
  • Contribute to the implementation of strategies to increase awareness and uptake of traineeship, cadetship and scholarship programs across the network and attend targeted career and employment expos and events
  • Development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.

About you:  

  • Experience in leading contemporary workforce planning strategies and initiatives, preferably in a Healthcare setting. 
  • Strong interpersonal abilities that enable successful collaboration and the development of productive working relationships with colleagues, staff and stakeholders, along with the confidence to interact effectively using keen insight and excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently under broad direction only and to manage projects, including planning activities and setting priorities to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
