Are you soon to complete your Enrolled Nursing diploma or not yet worked in Acute sector? We invite you to apply for our Enrolled Nurse Transition Program at Mount Gambier and District Health Service, starting in April 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will enjoy a highly rewarding role as an Enrolled Nurse as part of the Enrolled Nurse Transition Program working in the Acute sector at Mount Gambier and District Health Service. A family friendly, flexible work place which enjoys and supports workers to achieve their best, you will enjoy the perks of working as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team based at Mount Gambier Hospital, utilising a holistic approach to patient care. Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide person-centred care consistent with regulatory and statutory requirements. Practice at this level is from novice to proficient Enrolled Nurse practice. Engaging with patients, you will demonstrate knowledge and skill in assessment, care and routine procedures for area of practice. You will contribute to quality improvement, as well as provide assistance to other members of the health care team in provision of care to individuals/groups, including overseeing the work of an AIN/M and students. On offer are exceptional educational opportunities combined with diverse medical and surgical experience for the successful candidate.

This is a 26 week contract transition program, and at the successful completion of the program you will be transitioned to a casual employment contract. 

This is a temporary part time appointment, working 64 hours per fortnight over a 7 day roster and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
