About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as an Enrolled Nurse within our theatre teams, where precision, teamwork, and patient safety come together in a fast‑paced and rewarding environment.

As an Enrolled Nurse specialising in perioperative services, you will work side‑by‑side with skilled surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre staff, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional surgical care. Your attention to detail, clinical skill, and calm professionalism will directly support optimal patient outcomes across a broad range of procedures.

The Lyell McEwin Hospital features a comprehensive perioperative suite including:

  • Theatre holding bay
  • 9 operating theatres
  • 1 procedure room
  • 18 bay recovery unit

We perform high acuity and complex surgeries including, but not limited to, liver resections, major colorectal and upper GI surgery, major urology surgery, complex caesarean sections, bariatric surgery, major and trauma orthopaedics.

Additional procedures performed include gynaecology, plastics, ENT, paediatric, dental, ECT, gastroscopies and colonoscopies.

The perioperative suite at the Modbury Hospital offers a dynamic, high-throughput environment, and contains:

  • 4 operating theatres
  • 2 procedure rooms
  • 11 bay recovery unit

Surgical services include elective surgeries such as Orthopaedics including Arthroplasties, Urology, General surgery, Plastic surgery, Breast surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Gastroenterology.

Across both sites, you will work in state‑of‑the‑art facilities, supported by advanced surgical technologies with access to a large ICU and HDU.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as an enrolled nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. In order to administer medicines, must have completed a Board-approved program of study which includes an administration of medicines unit.
