About the role

The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Code Grey leads the delivery and continuous improvement of the violence and aggression prevention program at WCH. The role provides expert clinical leadership, coordinates rapid Code Grey responses, and partners with executive, clinical leaders, and external agencies to manage risk and improve safety outcomes.

Key duties of the role

  • Lead Code Grey responses, governance, and service delivery
  • Coordinate rapid clinical response to violence and aggression risk
  • Assess risk and implement evidence-based management plans
  • Deliver post-incident review, debrief, and service improvement actions
  • Provide expert clinical leadership, education, and team support

Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurse or Midwife (AHPRA) with current practising certificate
  • Minimum 3–5 years post-registration clinical experience
  • Advanced expertise in clinical aggression risk assessment and management
  • Demonstrated leadership experience at RN/M3 level or above
  • Proven experience leading services, projects, or change initiatives
