About the role

The Administrative Assistant provides high‑level administrative support, managing patient records, bookings, documentation, and enquiries. The Administrative Assistant supports clinicians, coordinates appointments, maintains efficient systems and ensures smooth clinic operations for patients, families, and staff.

Key duties of the role

  • Provide a front-line reception service to the service
  • Attend to, screen and direct telephone calls and emails
  • Liaise regularly with the Nurse Consultant and other department staff
  • Ensure that enquiries regarding patient welfare are dealt with promptly
  • Receive and process referrals

Skills and Experience

  • Experience providing a confidential secretarial and administrative support service
  • Experience with the use of EMR, Windows and Microsoft Office products
  • High-level time management and organisation skills
  • Work independently and under limited direction to meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal with situations, staff, and patients with maturity and empathy
