About the Role

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll lead and mentor the well-established occupational therapy service within a dynamic multidisciplinary team based at TQEH.  You will have the opportunity to shape rehabilitation care across surgical, vascular, trauma and orthopaedic pathways, including the clinical areas of burns and amputation. You’ll drive innovation, champion service excellence and make a meaningful impact across CALHN’s diverse healthcare settings.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead OT services day-to-day across the rehabilitation ward 
  • Support clinicians with guidance, mentoring and profession-specific supervision
  • Grow your portfolio area, lifting expertise and driving service improvement
  • Advance research, evaluation and quality activities that enhance care
  • Represent CALHN through committees, projects and key collaborations
  • Support education through student placements

About You

You’re a confident, capable Occupational Therapist who leads with sound judgement, strong communication and a commitment to safe, person-centred care. You bring the right registration, broad and expert clinical skills with the ability to support others while thriving in a busy, multidisciplinary subacute setting. 

  • Hold an OT degree that supports AHPRA registration
  • Apply advanced clinical reasoning to complex care 
  • Communicate clearly with clients, carers and teams
  • Lead teams, mentor others and guide safe practice
  • Prioritise well, stay adaptable and solve problems calmly
