About the Role

Join our compassionate and dedicated Palliative Care team, where your expertise will make a profound difference in the lives of patients and their families. As Nurse Consultant, you’ll provide advanced clinical nursing expertise and leadership in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll play a key role in supporting patients with complex needs, ensuring comfort, dignity and compassion are at the heart of every interaction across a variety of clinical settings.

In this rewarding role, you’ll use your clinical knowledge to guide, support and mentor nursing teams, while leading projects and programs that enhance patient outcomes and service delivery. With a high level of autonomy and professional accountability, you’ll shape the delivery of specialist palliative care through expert consultation, coordination and innovation — helping to ensure that every patient and family receives the best possible care and support during life’s most challenging moments.

About You

You’re a compassionate and experienced nursing professional who brings both clinical expertise and emotional resilience to palliative care. With a strong commitment to person-centred care, you lead with empathy, professionalism and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families. You’re confident working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and are passionate about fostering continuous improvement and supporting others to grow.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate

  • Proven experience as a Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration, ideally within palliative or specialist care

  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to guide and support teams through change

  • Sound knowledge of palliative care philosophy, quality improvement systems, and contemporary healthcare practices
