About the role: 

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Training, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Ensure SALHN maintains its accreditation status with the South Australian Medical Education and Training (SA MET) for interns and prevocational trainees
  • Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations
  • Develop and promote the clinical training program for Interns and prevocational trainees with the support of the Medical Education Officers (MEOs), Medical Education Registrars, Supervisors and the Medical Education Training Committee
  • Ensure all trainees are appropriately supervised during their clinical rotations

About you:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award
  • Prior involvement in education of Medical students or graduates
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to foster confidence and competence in colleagues
  • An awareness of the variety of Medical Officer training models employed nationally and internationally
