Join Our Team as an Administration Officer!

As an Administrative Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the Mid Eyre Medical Practice. Reporting directly to the Medical Practice Coordinator, you will manage reception and provide essential administrative support, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our health services.

Join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality medical, allied, and primary health care to our clients. Your responsibilities will include providing timely and efficient financial, administrative, clerical, and personnel services, ensuring our practice runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality service by addressing client inquiries via phone and in person, offering advice, and making referrals.
  • Appointment Coordination: Manage booking of appointments for services.
  • Reception Duties: Greet visitors professionally and direct them appropriately.
  • Relationship Building: Establish connections with colleagues and external organizations to enhance service delivery.
  • Message Handling: Take and relay clear messages to staff.
  • Emergency Procedures: Implement emergency procedures according to policies and guidelines.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Demonstrated experience using programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook effectively.
  • File Management and Administrative Systems: Experience in organizing files and utilizing administrative and database systems efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve common goals.
  • Knowledge of Health Care Principles: Understanding of primary health care and community health principles.
  • Understanding of Government Procedures: Familiarity with Government Administrative Instructions, relevant legislation, and procedures.
  • Current Microsoft Suite Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of current Microsoft Office programs and their functionalities.
  • Office and Clerical Procedures: General knowledge of office operations and clerical procedures.
