About the role

As Team Leader of the Receipting Team, you’ll play a key role in coordinating and delivering services for the accurate receipting of monies from a wide range of SA Pathology debtors, including Medicare, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), Private Health funds, Commercial Accounts and patients. You’ll lead by example, ensuring that all receipting processes are accurate, timely and compliant, while providing day-to-day support and guidance to your team to maintain a high standard of service delivery.

In this role, you’ll also be responsible for investigating and resolving complex queries, including deallocation of funds and anomalies in bank statements. By working closely with Finance staff, external parties and your own team, you’ll provide expert advice and solutions that ensure the smooth operation of receipting activities. You’re a motivated and organised leader with strong interpersonal and analytical skills, capable of managing complex receipting functions while supporting a high-performing team. You thrive in a dynamic environment, delivering accurate financial outcomes and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.

  • Leadership and teamwork – Experienced in guiding, coordinating and supporting a team to deliver high-quality finance or revenue functions.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills – Skilled in investigating complex enquiries, analysing data, and developing evidence-based solutions.

  • Technical capability – Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Publisher, with experience designing spreadsheets, databases and reports.

  • Communication and stakeholder engagement – Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels and prepare clear documentation.
