About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS, Guardianship Services team as Interagency Therapeutic Needs Panel Coordinator (ITNP), where you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and managing the Therapeutic Needs Panel by facilitating meetings, triaging referrals, and ensuring timely, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions for children and young people.
  • Ensuring interagency collaboration to develop integrated care plans and promote a partnership model supporting children in out-of-home care across health, child protection, and community services.
  • Providing clinical expertise and guidance on trauma, child development, and culturally sensitive practices, particularly for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and diverse communities.
  • Driving quality assurance and continuous improvement by developing evaluation frameworks, monitoring outcomes, and implementing best practice guidelines aligned with WCHN and Department of Health standards.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with panel members and stakeholders, ensuring recommendations and plans are well understood and implemented to achieve the best therapeutic outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant degree qualifying for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers, or registration as an Occupational Therapist or Psychologist with the respective Australian Boards.
  • Proven clinical experience managing complex child protection cases and delivering trauma-informed mental health interventions for children in out-of-home care.
  • Strong skills in coordinating multi-agency, multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive clinical outcomes.
  • Deep knowledge of developmental theory, neurobiology of trauma, and the impact of abuse and neglect on mental health.
  • Familiarity with child protection legislation, systems, and policies, including those affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
