About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS Forensic Service team as a Senior Nurse, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct expert forensic mental health care for an individual or group of clients and clinical leadership to multidisciplinary staff.
  • Ensures and provides quality forensic mental health services to children, adolescents and their families experiencing complex, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, within a multidisciplinary, interagency team and forensic context.
  • Providing services at the Youth Court, Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre and some after hours work, including occasional shifts on a Saturday.
  • Providing mental health nursing care

About You

If you are a registered Nurse with at least 3 years post registration experience and you have demonstrated competence in delivering proficient and comprehensive mental health nursing assessment and direct clinical services to children, young people and their families experiencing complex, acute or chronic mental illness/ trauma or a wide range of emotional and behavioural disturbance, then this role is for you.
