  • Salary - AHP3 - $108,347.00 to $116,216.00 + 12 % Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits
    • An additional annual allowance of $11,174 is payable to Psychologists where the successful candidate holds an Area of Practice Endorsement provided by the Psychology Board of Australia (paid on pro rata basis). 
    • An additional annual professional development allowance of $1000 is also payable, and a further entitlement of up to $1500 per year for reimbursement of relevant professional development expenses.

About the role

Lead delivery of psychological services in the Paediatric Chronic Pain Service at WCHN. Manage inpatient, outpatient and community consultation, coordinate complex care, and report to the Service Lead while working with multidisciplinary teams.

Key duties of the role

  • Deliver specialist psychological assessment and therapy for children and families
  • Coordinate inpatient, outpatient and community service pathways to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide expert advice on complex cases to clinicians, staff and external partners
  • Support case management by contributing to clinical decisions and treatment planning
  • Drive service improvement, promote client wellbeing and build team capability

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Psychology with AHPRA registration in an endorsed area of practice
  • Proven experience in child, youth and family assessment and intervention for complex needs
  • Strong leadership, supervision and coordination experience within a clinical setting
  • Advanced clinical skills to analyse complex cases and deliver effective interventions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder liaison skills
