About the Role:

As a Nurse Unit Manager with the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN), you will use your advanced clinical knowledge and experience to provide pivotal coordination of care in a designated area within a Health Unit or Community Service.

Your primary focus will be on line management, coordination, and leadership of nursing, midwifery, and/or multidisciplinary team activities to ensure high standards of care continuity and client outcomes. In this key leadership role, you will be accountable for the quality and outcomes of clinical practices within your area, taking responsibility for identifying and addressing inconsistencies between current practices and policy.

You will play a critical role in fostering a positive work culture, guiding team development, and ensuring professional standards that support both staff wellbeing and exceptional patient experiences.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse and Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and midwifery practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
  • Experience in management and leadership roles.
  • Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and midwives.
