About the Role

As a Renal Medicine Registrar, you will play a vital role within the multi-disciplinary renal team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), supporting the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, promoting community health, and fostering teaching and research. In this role, you will be responsible for the supervised clinical management of renal patients, as well as managing patients from other teams during on-call and after-hours duties.

In addition to providing comprehensive clinical care, you will contribute to the education and development of junior doctors and medical students through supervision, teaching, and role modelling professional behaviours. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical expertise in renal medicine within a leading tertiary healthcare setting that values continuous learning, research, and patient-centred care.

About You

You are a dedicated and collaborative medical professional with sound clinical competence and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Your strong communication skills, integrity, and ability to adapt to changing clinical environments make you an effective member of a multidisciplinary team while supporting continuous learning and safe practice.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent with current General Registration (or eligibility) with the Medical Board of Australia.

  • Successful completion of medical officer (intern) training and basic physician training, or equivalent, with demonstrated clinical competence.

  • Strong communication, time management and organisational skills, with a commitment to quality improvement and safe, patient-centred care.

  • Sound knowledge of medico-legal responsibilities, patient rights, and the ability to work respectfully within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professional integrity.
