Drive Healthcare Innovation: Digital Health Business Analyst Role

As a Digital Health Business Analyst at SALHN, you'll drive digital transformation in healthcare delivery. Collaborating with clinical experts and technical teams, you'll analyse complex requirements, identify process improvements, and translate them into innovative digital solutions. Your expertise will directly impact patient care and operational efficiency, shaping the future of healthcare services.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Director & Co-Director, this role is responsible for using data to reach actionable insights supporting the efficient and effective use of available resources to maximise health benefits across SALHN and providing high-level advice regarding data and analytics, including methods, health system data, and software. Duties for the role will include:

  • Develop strategies and processes to recognise and address issues to enable discussion regarding effective resolutions,
  • Work collaboratively to develop and use appropriate internal and external approaches to drive data driven analysis in the achievement of required strategic goals,
  • Analyse, report, and present data driven solutions that can assist with the resolution of health-based problems and can improve or redesign processes,
  • Maintain effective problem solving, risk management, and ensure issues remediation are in place for business unit projects.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience working with complex data in an analytics environment where monitoring, managing, manipulating, and drawing insights from data are key requirements,
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (including business analysis, data science, economics, mathematics, and statistics),
  • Proven experience in the practical application of analytical evaluation and continuous improvement including the analysis and reporting of outcomes in a clear and concise manner,
  • Proven ability to analyse health care related data to draw insights and evaluate health policy and health services in a complex environment,
  • Expertise in programming in open-source software, such as R of Python,
