About the Role(s)

As a Biomedical Engineer (PO1) or Biomedical Engineering Technician (TGO2), you will play a vital role in delivering professional and timely technical support to SA Pathology and its customers. This hands-on role involves undertaking calibration, preventative maintenance, and remedial repairs on a wide range of biomedical equipment and medical devices to ensure they meet safety, operational, and regulatory standards.

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance programs. In addition to delivering frontline technical support, you will assist in troubleshooting operational issues, support junior team members, and ensure that medical equipment operates safely and reliably to support patient care and diagnostic outcomes across SA Pathology. This is a dynamic opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a healthcare setting while directly contributing to service quality and patient safety.

About You

Your excellent communication skills and ability to problem-solve enable you to provide high-quality technical support within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven experience in delivering preventative and remedial maintenance services for biomedical equipment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage competing priorities, and effectively resolve operational issues.

  • Sound knowledge of the clinical application, technical operation, and regulatory requirements associated with biomedical devices and systems.
