We're seeking an Allied Health Manager to drive operational excellence and interdisciplinary best practice within our Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (MHRU). In this pivotal role, you'll have operational responsibility for all Allied Health and non-clinical staff involved in direct consumer care, from recruitment and HR management to performance development. You'll champion a seamless, multi-disciplinary service, ensuring consumers receive the highest standard of care. Collaborate with leadership on strategic service development that influences the direction of Mental Health Services. Build vital connections with government and non-government agencies, fostering community mental health initiatives.

About the role: 

Duties for the role will include:

  • Lead and manage all operational aspects of Allied Health and non-clinical services within the MHRU, ensuring high-quality, safe, and person-centered care.
  • Drive strategic development and implementation of policies, models of care, and quality improvement initiatives for optimal service delivery.
  • Oversee financial, human, and physical asset management, including budget adherence and resource allocation, to achieve strategic goals.
  • Cultivate a positive, recovery-oriented work culture focused on staff development, well-being, and compassionate care.
  • Provide expert advice and leadership within the MHRU, contributing to broader mental health system improvements and advocating for evidence-based practices.

About you:

  • You possess a relevant Allied Health degree and professional registration (e.g., Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work) or equivalent.
  • You are an experienced leader with demonstrated skills in strategic decision-making, complex project management, and fostering collaborative relationships.
  • You excel at innovative problem-solving, change management, and building a positive, person-centered culture within complex health systems.
  • You have significant experience in mental health services, including community engagement, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • You bring advanced knowledge of contemporary mental health practices and relevant legislation, ensuring high-quality, recovery-oriented care
