Are you passionate about supporting people to live independently in their own homes? We're looking for a Direct Care Attendant (Community) to provide essential in-home support to clients who are aged, frail, or living with a disability.

About the Role:

The Direct Care Attendant (Community) will assist in providing a direct client service to persons who are aged, frail, or disabled, and who wish to remain living in their own home with some assistance. The role is accountable to the coordinator and works in close collaboration with Community Health professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

Applicant Information

This is a multiple positions part time vacancy, hours to be negotiated and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. Applicants are encouraged to discuss the flexible working arrangements for this role.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

  • DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
