About the Role

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead and coordinate patient care delivery within your designated health unit, applying your advanced clinical knowledge to ensure continuity, efficiency, and quality of care. You will oversee nursing and multidisciplinary team operations, managing staffing, workflow, and performance to foster a safe and high-performing clinical environment.

Accountable for clinical outcomes, workforce culture, and operational alignment with policy, you will play a pivotal role in driving service excellence. This includes mentoring staff, resolving practice inconsistencies, and championing a team-based approach to improve patient care and organisational outcomes.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills within multidisciplinary settings.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive service improvement, lead change, and promote consumer engagement.

  • Extensive experience in nursing management, including staff supervision and model of care development.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safety standards, and professional codes within healthcare.
