About the role

The Rural Support Service is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Officer – Clinical Services to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative, evidence-based models of care that strengthen community-based healthcare and reduce pressure on hospital services.

This temporary part-time role provides an opportunity to lead and support state-wide and regional initiatives, working closely with clinical leaders, regional Local Health Networks, and the Department for Health and Wellbeing. You’ll apply your nursing expertise, project management skills, and strategic thinking to enhance services and improve health outcomes for rural and remote communities.

How will you contribute

  • Lead and support the planning, delivery and evaluation of projects focused on reorienting care to community and primary health settings.
  • Provide expert clinical advice to ensure nursing input informs the design and implementation of service strategies.
  • Support service innovation through data analysis, research, policy development, and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Build and maintain partnerships across regional health networks, government, and community sectors to support sustainable health reform.

About RSS

The RSS is a business unit in SA Health and provides services throughout regional South Australia to support the six regional local health networks (LHNs). It employs around 260 people who work in 37 regional, rural and remote SA locations, or in the RSS’s three Adelaide offices. Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 45.6 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
