Overview:

The Psychosocial Safety Senior Consultant is tasked with leading the efforts to identify, prevent, and manage psychosocial hazards in the workplace, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for DHW employees, working collaboratively with Local Health Network (LHN) WHS teams to support SA Health employees. This role will:

  • Monitor and maintain the psychosocial safety framework and develop programs that proactively identifies and addresses hazards such as workplace stress, role clarity, bullying, and harassment.
  • Work in close collaboration with Work Health and Safety professionals to integrate psychosocial risk assessments into regular safety protocols and practices.
  • Provide expert advice and interventions to prevent and mitigate psychosocial risks, that support employees' mental health and resilience.
  • Engage with broader Workforce Services staff, HR Managers, DHW, LHNs, and Health agencies to communicate the importance of psychosocial safety and the resources available to address these concerns.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of psychosocial safety strategies and interventions, making data-informed decisions to continuously improve the psychological wellbeing of the workforce.
