Join our team as a Stomal Specialist Nurse in Port Lincoln, where you’ll support individuals managing complex stoma, wound care, and related health needs, helping them to live their best lives at home and in the community.

How You'll Contribute:

As a Stomal Specialist Nurse, you’ll provide expert, person-centred care to individuals living with faecal and urinary diversions, chronic and complex wounds, and related health conditions. In this pivotal clinical role, you will:

  • Deliver advanced, person-centred clinical care while providing leadership and oversight within the nursing team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialised therapeutic interventions and individualised care programs in line with evidence-based practice.
  • Empower patients and families through education and self-management support, while mentoring students and less experienced clinicians.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and the development of clinical protocols to strengthen service delivery.

As part of the Community and Allied Health team in Port Lincoln, you’ll work within a collaborative and supportive environment that values clinical expertise and professional growth. This role offers the opportunity to practise at an advanced level, develop your specialisation in stoma and complex wound care, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people across the community.

What we’re looking for

  • Do you have current registration (or eligibility) as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and at least three years’ post-registration experience?
  • Are you an experienced clinician with demonstrated competence in stomal therapy, complex wound care, and person-centred case management?
  • Do you demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills within a multidisciplinary healthcare team?
  • Are you motivated to support education, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice while mentoring students and less experienced nurses?
