About the Role

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will deliver high-quality nursing services across diverse clinical settings, applying your consolidated experience to support patients and colleagues alike. You will be accountable for your professional practice, delegate tasks appropriately, and contribute to the development of less experienced nursing staff to ensure safe, consistent, and effective care.

In this leadership-support role, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to promote continuity of care, implement clinical improvements, and manage operational responsibilities such as staffing, rostering, recruitment, and resource planning. You will also lead initiatives within your designated portfolio, helping to drive performance, quality improvement, and positive patient outcomes in a collaborative, team-based environment.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will be a proactive and compassionate Registered Nurse with demonstrated leadership capabilities and a strong commitment to patient-centred care. Your ability to collaborate effectively, manage clinical priorities, and support both junior staff and patients alike will be key to your success.

• Hold current (or eligible) registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

• Demonstrated clinical competence with 3+ years of post-registration nursing experience.

• Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills within multidisciplinary settings.

• Sound knowledge of nursing standards, healthcare legislation, and quality improvement systems.
