About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse in the Heart & Lung Program at CALHN, you will support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care alongside Registered Nurses. Operating within your scope of practice, you will apply nursing skills that range from novice to proficient level, ensuring all care is provided in accordance with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements. While working under supervision, you will remain accountable for your actions and contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes.
This dynamic role forms part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to comprehensive cardiac and respiratory care. Services include acute inpatient care—both elective and emergency—diagnostics, interventional and electrophysiology procedures, as well as cardiac and respiratory rehabilitation, outpatient services, and pre- and post-operative support. You will be part of a committed nursing service that also supports the Cardiothoracic Surgery unit and broader Heart & Lung Program operations.

You are an enthusiastic and compassionate Enrolled Nurse who is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Your ability to communicate effectively, prioritise tasks, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team ensures safe and efficient patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current or eligible enrolment with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a practising certificate.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centred care.

Proven ability to recognise and report clinical changes and manage competing priorities.

Sound understanding of the Enrolled Nurse role, including applicable legislation, codes, and standards of practice.
