About the role

Are you a passionate Dental Therapist looking to make a greater impact in public oral health? SA Dental is seeking an experienced and motivated clinician to join our team in a senior capacity. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality dental services to eligible clients, including those with complex dental and oral health needs. You’ll play a key role in improving community outcomes while contributing to a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.

As a Senior Practitioner, Dental Therapist, you will also provide clinical leadership, mentor less experienced staff, and support the implementation of key statewide programs and clinical directions. You’ll contribute to service planning, performance monitoring, and the development of clinical policies and guidelines. This position offers a unique opportunity to deliver hands-on care while influencing the future of dental services across South Australia.

About You

You are a confident and collaborative dental professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and guiding others in a clinical setting. Your strengths lie in clinical leadership, communication, and applying sound judgement in complex situations.

  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to staff, clients, and students

  • Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills, with demonstrated experience in delivering complex general and emergency dental care

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence clinical practice and discuss performance improvements

  • Advanced knowledge of oral health service provision and a strong understanding of public health principles and evidence-based practice
