Are you a strategic thinker who thrives under pressure and wants to make a real difference? Join the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) in a pivotal role where your planning, leadership and emergency management expertise will help shape a safer, more resilient future for our communities.

As the Business Resilience Coordinator, you’ll lead the charge in emergency response, disaster recovery, business continuity and fire safety across a dynamic regional health network. This role is all about creating confidence in crisis – providing expert guidance and training, driving preparedness, and ensuring consistent and high-quality practices across all sites.

You’ll be the key link between strategic planning and operational response, working closely with executive leadership and local teams to embed a best-practice approach to risk, recovery and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Business Continuity Planning across the LHN.

  • Deliver training and exercises in emergency preparedness.

  • Provide expert advice in fire safety and emergency response.

  • Ensure alignment with SA Health’s PPRR framework.

  • Conduct audits, evaluate risks and drive system improvements.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in emergency management, including planning, coordinating and leading effective responses to critical incidents and disasters, ideally within a health or government environment.

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to guide and support multidisciplinary teams, including senior stakeholders, during both planning phases and live responses.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written – you can clearly explain complex ideas, develop policies and deliver engaging training or workshops.

  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, manage competing demands, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Sound judgement and analytical thinking, with a demonstrated ability to assess risks, solve problems quickly and implement effective solutions in line with policy and legislative frameworks.

  • A commitment to quality improvement, continuous learning and cultural safety – including respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all communities across the Yorke and Northern region.
