About the role
The Senior Pharmacist – Clinical Educator (0.6 FTE) will work with the current 1.0 FTE Clinical Educator to lead and support the training and development of CALHN pharmacy workforce which may include:
- Utilisation of SA Pharmacy workplace-based education tools including Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs)
- Undertake AdPha ClinCAT peer evaluations
- Roster, coordinate and host Continuing Education sessions
- Facilitate local and statewide practice-integrated training frameworks for the workforce such as student placements, transition to hospital, new to clinical, AHAs, resident pharmacists
- Facilitate Partnered Pharmacist Medication Charting/Prescribing Pharmacist Credentialling
- Upskill pharmacy workforce in their teaching and training skills
- Representation at the SA Pharmacy Education Group which supports and progresses state-wide education activities to facilitate education as outlined in the SA Pharmacy Education Strategic Plan
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Pharmacist to lead the organisation, management, and day-to-day operations of a designated pharmacy area. This senior position is responsible for delivering a high-level, comprehensive pharmacy service, exercising sound clinical judgement, and providing expert therapeutic advice and medicines information to patients, clinicians, nursing staff, and other health professionals across the hospital.
You will play a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes by driving strategies that promote the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of pharmaceuticals in line with hospital policies, professional guidelines, and national standards. This is an exciting opportunity to influence service delivery, support best practice, and contribute meaningfully to multidisciplinary patient care.
About You
You are a qualified and registered pharmacist with a strong background in hospital pharmacy practice and demonstrated leadership in clinical service delivery. You possess excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgement, and a proactive approach to improving pharmacy operations in a multidisciplinary environment.

Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent and registered (or eligible) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across clinical and non-clinical settings.

Proven ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a high-demand hospital environment.

Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills with experience guiding service improvement strategies and mentoring staff.

Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including supervision, training, and the ability to interpret clinical data to support evidence-based practice.
