About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a driven and experienced leader to join our Clinical Governance as the Safety and Quality Manager. This pivotal role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of healthcare delivery and patient safety across our facilities.

As the Safety & Quality Manager, you will spearhead initiatives that uphold the highest standards of quality, safety and risk management. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust systems, policies and procedures that ensure patient-centric care while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
  • lead audits, investigations and root cause analyses to identify areas for improvement and drive positive change
  • develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance staff competencies in quality and safety practices
  • implement effective monitoring and reporting systems to track performance metrics and drive data-driven decision-making
  • foster partnerships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations, to stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends.

To be eligible for this position as a Registered Nurse, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

To be eligible for this position as an Allied Health Professional, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification for one of the following Allied Health disciplines working in the service, specifically:

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).
  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification, usually in human movements, inclusive of the exercise physiology elective and eligible for accreditation from Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
