About the Role:

Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network (FUNLHN) has embraced the Consumer Directed Care model, putting consumers firmly in control of their aged care, disability, and support services. This empowering approach enables individuals to choose the services they receive, who delivers them, and how involved they want to be in managing their own care and living arrangements. Under this model, consumers directly manage the funding for the Home Helper role, giving them the freedom to decide their schedules, the tasks performed, the frequency of service, and their preferred provider.

As a Home Helper, you will be a crucial part of this person-centred approach, delivering timely, efficient, and compassionate support such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry to help aged, frail, or disabled individuals maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment. This role requires flexibility, empathy, and the ability to work independently within the community. You’ll collaborate closely with consumers, their families, and health professionals to ensure quality outcomes that promote independence and enhance quality of life.

FUNLHN is committed to supporting your growth by encouraging ongoing education and skill development, helping you deliver responsive and high-quality care that truly makes a difference.
