The Business Support Officer is accountable to the Executive Director Country Operations for the provision of business services for the directorate, resulting in the effective operation of the business unit. The position requires the incumbent to work under limited direction with a significant degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities: 

Committee Participation and Decision-Making:
Actively participate in various committees, contributing to decision-making processes through the exercise of initiative, judgment, and delegated authority.

Capital Works Program Management:
Manage the capital works program by liaising with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and external providers, ensuring effective coordination and execution.

Budgeting and Planning:
Contribute to and coordinate the preparation and submission of budgets, as well as contribute to the development of strategic, business, performance, and budget plans and reports to meet departmental objectives.

Project and Program Management:
Provide advice to program managers and project teams, review proposed projects, report on strategic project milestones, and ensure the implementation of programs and change management processes in line with project management methodologies.

Quality Management and Continuous Improvement:
Manage the development and currency of administrative policies and procedures, administer service redesign processes, maintain an analysis of operational KPIs, and implement programs and change management processes to achieve financial, budgetary, and performance targets.
