About the Role

As an Enrolled Nurse in the TQEH NEGB/NE2 Surgical Unit, you will be part of a dynamic clinical team delivering specialised surgical care across short stay, Gynaecology, Urology, Breast/Endocrine, and ENT services. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will provide safe, person-centred nursing care aligned with clinical standards and statutory requirements.

This role supports your growth from novice to proficient practitioner by offering diverse clinical exposure and team collaboration within a busy surgical environment. You will retain full accountability for your practice while benefiting from structured supervision and ongoing professional development opportunities in a supportive and multidisciplinary setting.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will bring sound clinical knowledge and practical experience in healthcare settings, supported by effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Requirements:

  • Current registration (or eligibility) as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, including qualification in medicine administration.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to recognise and escalate changes in clinical condition.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering nursing care aligned with professional standards and codes of practice.

  • Knowledge of the Enrolled Nurse’s scope of practice and relevant legislation and ethics.
