About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Women's and Babies Division as Registered Nurse/Midwife - Neonatal Services, where you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering compassionate, person-centred nursing or midwifery care to neonates and their families, assessing needs and coordinating individualized care plans.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure seamless, holistic care and support for neonatal patients.
  • Supporting the clinical team during shifts, including mentoring junior staff and contributing to a safe, effective work environment.
  • Participating actively in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
  • Providing education and support to patients, families, students, and new staff to promote health and professional development within the neonatal setting.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Midwife, holding a current practising certificate.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in neonatal or relevant nursing/midwifery practice, aligned with national safety and quality healthcare standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and manage conflict effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Commitment to person- and family-centred care, with a strong consumer-focused approach in all clinical interactions.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation and standards relevant to nursing/midwifery practice, including EEO, ethics, WHS, and quality management.
